Dr. Dre is gearing up to compete in archery for Team USA at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, and his close friend Snoop Dogg already has a fitting nickname for him—’Braveheart,’ inspired by Mel Gibson’s iconic character.

The legendary rapper shared his Olympic ambitions during an interview on “TMZ Live,” where he discussed his rigorous preparation for the upcoming Summer Games. Dre humorously mentioned that he’s so confident in his abilities that his friends will soon be begging him to take off his gold medal.

Snoop Dogg added to the fun by calling Dre ‘Braveheart,’ a nod to the determination and courage it takes to compete at such a high level. Dre is taking this nickname to heart as he trains intensively in his backyard, which he’s turned into an archery range. With four years to go before the Olympics, Dre believes he has just enough time to become exceptional in the sport.

Having been an archer since junior high, Dre is serious about reaching Olympic standards, knowing that it will require intense training to master the sport at the required distance.
